back to ENSLAVIOR

I wouldn't call myself a musician by any means. I started to play because I love the sound of raw distortion and the intricate melodies and harmonies that are presented in Heavy Metal. Iron Maiden is my all-time favorite Metal band. They were "my boys" in High School.

Anyway, I was friends with some guys in College and we just started messing around one day playing music and were having fun. We were mostly focusing on cover songs (i.e.: Rush, Black Sabbath and Metallica). We later evolved to make our own original songs, and even managed to get a few shows. But, it was short-lived... people went their own ways.

Years later, in early 2001, Jim Berry calls me out of the blue--asking me to try out for ENSLAVIOR. Russ had left, so they needed someone to fill-in for him. Russ is a great guitar player, so I was pretty stoked yet very nervous at the opportunity to try out. It had been a long time since I'd played with other people, especially on this level. We'll see how it goes, hopefully well. The main thing is to be serious, yet have fun at the same time.

My day job? Actually I cut meat and help manage a meat department in Cotati, California. Not exactly what most college graduates do, but oh well. It's a good trade to learn.

What else do I do? I like to ski, go camping, hike, take long aimless drives, enjoy good food with good company, savor a tasty beer, shoot pool, throw darts, barbecue, toss horseshoes, bowl and relax. Basically I enjoy having fun.
